[SOLVED] - Z step

Message par DeweyCheatem »

Using V1.5 and my z step is half of what I set in software. I've been just doubling the value as I've been cutting through but now have a project where I want 3d.

What do I need to do to adjust z step?

Hi DeweyCheatem,

First, beging your next post by "Hi" or "Hello" and close it with "Could you please help me?", "Thank you", "Bye" or "See ya".

About your issue, if the problem appears on Z axis only, I am pretty sure you didn't received the right ACME threaded rod. Looking at it from the top, check you have only one thread start. If not, you received the wrong ACME threaded rod. A lot of sellers make them wrong when they ship this item.

Right ACME threaded rod (1 thread start):

Wrong ACME threaded rod (4 thread starts):

Be careful, you surely have the wrong antibacklash nut, too.

Happy new year 2022.

See ya,

Sorry, I was in a hurry and cut straight to the point.

I found my issue. On my stepper drivers, I made the z different from x and y due to the different gear ratio. Once I set them the same, the problem went away.

Thanks for your help
