Using GRBL STM32 for Workbee with VFD Spindle

Message par jimbalny »

Greetings,

I recently built an rs-cnc32 for a friend and ordered another GRBL32 kit from Makerfr to build another but decided I would rather get back to CNC'ing than spend more time 3d printing so I got a Workbee CNC instead with a 1.5kw VFD Spindle. After searching on the forums I found that there were some errors in the original STM32 firmware files related to the use of a VFD Spindle. Would it be best to make the modifications from that post (https://www.makerfr.com/forum/viewtopic ... VFD#p26490) or to download the latest grbl_6axis_on_stm32 from mstren's github page as I can see the 2000khz update on that page. I got a PWM-Analog 0-10v converter from here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GS ... UTF8&psc=1 and it says it only supports up to 3khz

I plan to use it with the ESP32 and TFT screen so my question is, will the firmware at grbl_6axis_on_stm32 work with the ESP32 TFT controller or will it need any further modifications?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: Nevermind, I decided to try it and preloaded some of the defaults I found for the workbee into defaults.h. Couldn't get my st-link to work again so flashed it with an ftdi and it's all good!
