Source CAD Files available?

Hello from Germany!

I'd like to modify the X Dolly Top to accept a Nema 27 Motor and it would be quite helpful if I could get the source 3D Cad file.
Its rather tideous to rebuild the thing from the .stl file in Fusion 360 :D

Hi,

The Solidworks files (and even the STEP files) are available on the parts list page, you can import them into Fusion360.

Hallo, Hello,

No, I don't think so. Actually, the Solidworks files seem to be only available for the RS-CNC or RS-CNC32, at the beginning of their parts list.
For the R-CNC, you have to ask the Solidworks files to Romain (administrator's name : RoMaker).

Ah yes, you are right, I didn't see that we were into the R-CNC sub-forum.

Anyway, I found out the STEP files through the French forum, here is a zip with the STEP and the resulting .F3D of the dolly top.

I didn't noticed any slow-down, maybe my setup is a bit overkill for a laptop with an i7-8850H containing 12 logical core @2.6GHz and a turbo speed @4.3GHz. And of course, the Quadro P4200 that helps out the rendering:

I uploaded the STEP file (that step took a minute or two 'cause the WiFi where I am sitting today is the worst ever seen), and then converted the Mesh to BRep and finally activated the Design History and exported the .F3D file.

Seems Fusion 360 re-calculates the faces when saving locally.* Because I did exactly that, convert to Brep and I ended up with a solid that had about 15500 triangular faces, just like the mesh did.

* I tried to save it as a local backup and re-open it but its still basically a solid mesh. So I'm doin somethin wrong here.
I've got enough to work with, the file you gave me is exactly what I needed but now I'm curious what exactly happened here :D

Smooth faces, easy to work with.

I'm using an i3-3220 3.4Ghz with 12GB DDR3-1600 ram and a HD 7950 Gpu. Nothing fancy, and works OK with fusion. Had quite a bit of trouble keeping up with the upper mesh though :D
