Re: Fredericton Makerspace Building The I3-RS
HI Romain -
In the pictures of your I3-RS, the MKS Base 1.5 PCB has small heat sinks on the stepper drivers. These do not seem to be included with the circuit board from the supplier but maybe they are? If not, what size heatsinks did you use on your circuit board? I have located some 9mmx9mm ones that look to be suitable but wanted to be sure before I order.
Thanks !
Lewis

Re: Fredericton Makerspace Building The I3-RS
Hi !
I had those heat sinks in my stuff, i sticked them but it's not necessary.
My other I3-RS works well without !

Re: Fredericton Makerspace Building The I3-RS
I think I have found a mistake on the Makerbase MKS Base V1.6 Pinout for their board.
I looked at the I3-RS code in configuration.h and see that the definitions for the RGB leds are D37/Green, D17/Red, and D23/Blue.
The three wires are in line next to each other in the pictures on the assembly instructions.
BUT - looking at the Makerbase manual from their github site- see the following picture. They show D27 and D23 in opposite locations.
I am sure that Romain's code and pictures are correct, so it looks like a mistake in the Makerbase manual for the V1.6 board ? Do you agree ?

Re: Fredericton Makerspace Building The I3-RS
I contacted Makerbase and it is in fact an error in their documents - they are fixing it so as to not cause people problems

yes because my firmware and diagram work !
Re: Fredericton Makerspace Building The I3-RS
Lots of time to study the documents and instructions for I3-RS. Here in Canada there's a postal strike and AliExpress is shipping nothing to Canada by the usual methods as a result....
