Why no X+ and Y+ for Shield CNC?

Hi,

I just received my Shield CNC and noticed that there's no X+ and Y+ for the endstops.
Since I already installed X-, X+, Y- and Y+ endstops I would like to have the option to still use them all.
Is there any workaround I can do in order to make the X+ and Y+ endstops still to work?

Can X+ and Y+ be implemented to a newer version of the Shield CNC?

Hi,
As far as I know, it was already done by someone, by putting the X+ and X- endstops in parallel and so on. The firmware can know which one is triggered by looking the direction of the axis.

Maybe Romain or Aze could explain you a bit more.

Hi 3Dstyle,
On the shield, the endstops are wired in NC (normaly closed), so you can add an endstop per axis in serial, ex: X+ and X- in serial on X min plug.

Thanks for the answers :)

In terms of software, is there any thing I need to change in order to make it to work?
