Right now im collecting all the parts. What i would like to know if i can use 0.9 degrees motors instead of 1.8.
I think that i may need to change the configuration.h fail , but im a bit lost there.

Many thanks to all

Hi and welcome !

If you use 0.9° motors, you have to multipliate by 2 the steps values in the firmware, but it's useless to buy this kind of motors, you'll don't get more accurate as a 1.8° motor.

Hi Romain; thanks for the fast answare.

The truth is that i can get 12kgcm motors of 0.9 degrees or 10kgcm of 1.8. What do you think is the best choice ?
They are for free that is why i have to chose from that optiosn.!

Hi Octavio,

If they are for free, you have nothing to lose by trying them. If you experience any issue, you could then buy the other one after all. But I think 0.9 is okay, at least by setting 1/8th microsteps instead of 1/16th. In the worst case, you could slow down the milling speed.
About the torque, the given value usually specify the holding torque. That means the torque when the motor is not moving. In our case it is useless. We need torque while moving, not while stopped.
