Hello,
can the new Extruder of the i3-RS be used on the 'old' i3-R without any other Hardware changes.
Of course the Parameters in the SW Need to be adopted.

Yes you can put the new extruder on the I3-R
For the BlTouch, wire it like this : https://www.antclabs.com/wiring1
Under Marlin, you have to change the microsteps value of the extruder motor by multiplying your current value by 3.75
And define a servo pin for the BLtouch

Hi,
I assume the parts have to be printed wiht ABS since PLA might not stand the heat around the hot End.

I just saw the question is obsolete, the parts listing for the ir-rs states anyway what materil to use.

Yes the extruder parts must be printed in ABS because of heat.
You can use the I3 RS parts list to buy the pulleys, belt and BLtouch needed for the new extruder.
