So I've tested following:

I took 5V+ from the CNC Shield (the one beneath GND for the drivers) and made a contact to DIR+ from the Y-Axis driver.
And now it happened! The Y-Axis moved the other - the correct direction.
So it has to be an issue with the DIR+ contact or with the software.

Update:
I also unplugged all connections on the CNC-Shield and checked for contact between DIR+ Pin and the µC Pin to be sure there is no wirebreak - OK!
Plugged all contacts to CNC-Shield and unfortunately the problem stays.

What about the idea to take an other pin for direction of Y in the Firmware?
I would only need the correct new pin number for the Firmware ans the corredpondent „real“ pin in the CNC shield connections.

Or maybe some other ideas?

Thanks for help anyway.
Its frustrating not to be able to test the machine :-D.

Hi !

if i well understood, you tested between those to points and the continuity is good ?

Image

If yes , i think you tested the continuity between the shield and DIR contact on the driver ?

If yes, i think you have to try with another Arduino

Hi Romain,

I am just glad every time I see a response from you (and of course other helpers).

Exact. I tested the connections you marked in red with a circuit indicator.
Also I used the circuit indicator to check the way from the red point below to the arduino correspondent pin.
So I can say from driver DIR+ to arduino pin there is contact - no wire break!

A new arduino is ordered.
But can we try a different pin for Y DIR+?
For sure there will be an unused pin on the CNC-Shield that we could try (and belongs to another arduino pin).
But as I dont know your layout of CNC-Shield I need the right pin on your CNC-Shield (physically) and the correspondent pin number in the firmware.
Then I would try this first before the new arduino arrives.

UPDATE:
I figured out (using a scope) that the Y-DIR+ in fact doesn't turn 5V.
Well... the answer was close but it took long to get it: the A stepper control just right beneath Z.
It is unused so far and yes: this pin worked fine using a little test-sketch in Arduino.
I changed the pins each other (61 to 28 and 28 to 61) and of course wired the DIR contact from A to Y.
IT WORKS !!!
So please listen to me guys:
I bought the Arduino using the Ali-Link from the part list from Romain here on the website.
Be aware that you might get Arduinos with dead pins.
Here in Germany you maybe pay a few Euros more but I think it should be worth it!

Happy to hear that you solved your issue

All my arduinos come from China and i never had this issue, you didn't got luck

Hi,
you should consider playing lotto :D.
Thanks for the help so far.
I am looking forward for new firmwares :).

Greetings
