Re: Laser engraving module

Great, since I was busy to build my inverter board you all brought up additional solutions, where at least some would have made my life easier ;-) First... thanks romain for the input. I thought also on soldering directly on the ESP output, but the complete build is quite fancy I didn't want to tamp...

Re: Laser engraving module

Thanks for the "flowers" but to be truthfull, without mstrens I would still be juggling questionsmarks... Anyhow I will be happy to provide all necessary data and infos, when I'm finished and have it working. As far as I know romain is also working on this topic and plans to provide a tuto...

Re: Laser engraving module

Hi, now it's getting serious... ;) Laser arrived last week, but I haven't had the time for testing since today. But it's seems to be pretty straight forward. I tested everything not directly on the RS control board yet. Rather I build a small test setup with an arduino nano and an ULN2803 to simulat...

Re: Laser engraving module

Thanks a lot for the help. I will follow up with the testing when the laser arrives here. Since it's coming from china I assume that I will take a couple of weeks still. I will post again as soon it arrives and I got a chance to do the testing.

Re: Laser engraving module

Hi, I built a small test circuit [https://images.app.goo.gl/91A5RPkLaMPDQZya9] (with LED for a consumer) and it works as you mentioned but there are two things I'm not sure how to handle them... 1. - the pwm signal seems to be invertet, so 100% duty cycle LED off and 0% duty cycle LED on 2. - the vo...

Re: Laser engraving module

After some strugles and flashing another bluepill with the grbl s/w it seems I have a working PWM signal output which reacts as expected to "M3 Sxxx" inputs with a changing duty cycle PWM signal but only some mV as an output voltage. Don't know if it will sufficient for the laser driver wh...

Re: Laser engraving module

I'm also investigating in this direction. Therefor I looked into the electronics to check the Spindle PWM output of the board but I cannot measure any difference when I turn it on via "M3 S1000" command. I checked in the grbl firmware which can be downloaded here for the custom way and the...

switched spindle power supply continous on 230 V AC

switched spindle power supply continous on 230 V AC... In the last couple of weeks I have build the RS-CNC and I'm nearly finished. Since now everything works as expected and I will start testing real work (since now I had only a pencil mounted  ) as soon as the tools for the router arrive. The...
