Z axis slipping
I have a situation where (what is seemingly random) the z direction down sometimes drops farther than it should - almost like it is slipping. This results in my Z0 basically changing during the middle of a job. I have manually gone up and down 20mm repeatedly and can sometimes reproduce but not alwa...

Re: Lower the Y motor and rod
So remove the rod, move the stepper to one side and add another on the other side? Ultimately the motors just take signals and power so if the signal is sent to both steppers i would assume they should both turn. Wonder if you need to try to ensure all wires running from driver to motor are the same...

Re: Z axis losing position?
I have not experienced this. Is it possible your plunge rate is too high? Do you have an anti-backlash nut installed? Does this happen with no material in place (basically running it with no stock there) as well? (trying to understand if the stock interaction is part of the problem or just general m...

Re: Lower the Y motor and rod
This thought crossed my mind as well - thinking it could run under the surface but then would require a transfer to the dollies going back up or having the belt under the rails - at which point I felt was too many moving parts to bother with. Would be a great change for future versions.

Re: Drag knife moi aussi!
Awesome! Thank you so much. What is the larger channel piece that you attach this to with the three screws on the side? Is that some sort of quick change setup?

Re: Drag knife moi aussi!
Thank you, but I don't see an option to download it at that link - only to view. From what I just read online, the download link is only available for 30 days.

Re: Drag knife moi aussi!
Je peux partager, bien sûr, mais mon support laser est conçu pour se fixer sur mon support de broche que j'ai également conçu sur mesure! ^^ I don't see the option to download in the link you provided - do you have another link or maybe i am missing it. I am interested in trying on my machine as we...

Re: Drag knife
I finally got around to using this but I find there is too much 'play' for the blade - so I am losing out of various detail turns. I may need a stiffer bushing (that was printed in vase mode)

Re: Tige hélicoïdale
I was machining a sign this past weekend and my set screw just fell out of the backlash nut - likely from vibration. I’m using a 3D printed version of it but got me thinking would it be better if the nut was installed the opposite this picture with the screw on top? Pardon, suis-je autorisé à publie...
